Now come the goodbyes...

I have a little more than 24 hours left at my current teaching assignment. Although I work from home and teach "virtually" it does not make the goodbyes any easier. I will miss my students and my colleagues tremendously. I never thought that teaching online would be something I could love, but I do.

In just 45 days or so the goodbyes will be to my family and friends. My oldest daughter is in the Air Force and marriedd so she has needed me less and less. My youngest has been my "partner in crime" now for the last few years so I will be missing her the most. But she too will be on to bigger and better things (stay tuned!). I think this will hit me when the magic e-ticket hits my mailbox and the ethereal move becomes suddenly tangible.

But with the ending comes a new beginning. My DH (darling husband[most of the time it means this]) and I will have a chance to travel. Some spots we would like to visit:
Oman
The Maldive Islands
The Seychelle Islands
Madagascar
India
Sri Lanka
Thailand
Turkey

And the list goes on and on. I hope to share these places with you and try to learn a bit about the world along the way. I may not have much to post for the next few weeks, but I will try to update weekly. :)

Off We Go

So it is time to bid farewell to my awesome students, parents and colleagues at Florida Virtual School and hello to a new adventure. As most of you know K (my husband) and I are off to the Arabian Peninsula. I have recently been hired to teach English at the high school level in Abu Dhabi. This blog will chronicle my adventures. I will strive to post weekly and include pictures as I can.

Welcome to the journey. :) Rebecca
